Bergamo Airport Parking
Bergamo Airport is located approximately 5 km from Bergamo, and 45 km from Milan. The airport is easy to access via the A4 Milan-Venice motorway, from the Bergamo or Seriate Exits. Passengers will find a modern and fully-equipped single terminal building with adequate and convenient parking areas. Bergamo is one of the three most important airports in the area, and is also referred to as Milan Orio al Serio Airport.
Parking is available at the airport for short-term and long-term periods. There is a parking area nearby the terminal building which can be used for short-term parking. This area is called P1. Costs for parking here are approximately €2.00 for one hour, €3.00 for two hours, €6.00 for up to eight hours and €9.00 for parking of up to twelve hours. Thereafter, there is a daily charge of €13.00.
The covered parking area is referred to as P2, and this is an indoor car park. The same charges as above apply to this area. It is also located within walking distance of the airport terminal building. The second P2 parking area is an uncovered outdoor space for vehicles, and this can be used for long-term parking. A little further away from the terminal is an outdoor car park which can ideally be used for long-term parking as its rates are less expensive than the other areas. Due to its distance from the terminal, a free shuttle bus is available for transport of passengers and their luggage. Charges for this parking area are around €2.00 for two hours, €3.00 for four hours, and €4.00 for twelve hours. Thereafter there is a daily rate charged of €9.00.
Passengers can pay for their parking at either the manned pay-station or the automatic pay-stations. Both of these facilities are located at the entrance to the short-term parking area, next to the terminal building. Payments can be made with any of the following credit cards: American Express, Mastercard and Visa. Credit cards can also be used at the automatic pay-stations for values not exceeding €150.00, or cash can be used as well, since the machine is able to provide change for any amount. Cards which are not accepted for parking payments include Visa Electron, Kalibra, Prepaid cards and Bancomat.
Special parking rates are available for passengers of Tour Operator who are traveling with charter flights. A travel document must be provided by Tour Operator, and this document should be shown to the staff at the parking desk in order to receive the special parking rates. If you do not have this document, the normal parking rates will apply. The Terminal Parking Settore C Scoperto should be used for this purpose.
Bergamo Airport is well-equipped for the needs of disabled passengers. There are free parking spaces in the uncovered car parks, and they are indicated by appropriate signs. Disabled passengers must however have the following documents available to show the staff at the parking desk in order to receive the parking space for free: An identity card or passport, a disabled parking sticker, and a flight ticket or reservation document for parking periods of more than six hours. The usual parking rates will apply if any of these documents are not available.
Persons who require assistance within the airport, whether they are arriving or departing, should inform their airline company of their special requirements when booking their flight. The airline company will then ensure that staff at the airport are ready and waiting to assist you on your arrival at the airport. Passengers with reduced mobility can also request assistance from one of the video intercoms available when they arrive at the airport. Intercoms are situated at the airport departure entrance, the arrivals entrance, and in the short-stay car park in front of the terminal building. A staff member will then assist you with check-in operations, security procedures and boarding, and can also provide access to the assistance lounge for PRMs, the Sala Amica Lounge. Bergamo Airport is equipped with pavements with shallow-gradient ramps, preferential routes for visually impaired individuals, and special toilets and lifts for those with walking difficulties. Special lifting equipment called an ambulift is available for boarding operations.
Individuals who would like to travel to Bergamo, but who do not wish to park their own vehicles, can make use of the many bus services available, or take a taxi from one of the taxi ranks in Bergamo. Bus services travel between the airport and the main railway stations in the area, by the companies of Orioshuttle, ATB and Autostradale. There is no railway station at Orio al Serio Airport.
Along with adequate parking areas, Bergamo offers many useful passenger amenities within its single terminal building, including banks, currency exchange services, a pharmacy and church, as well as many interesting shopping outlets and inviting restaurants. Additional parking enquiries can be made at the parking desk in the arrivals area, or more general assistance is available from the information desks within the terminal.
