Europcar, at Naples Airport, requires the primary renter to be at least 21 years of age, and to have a valid drivers license.  In some cases an International Driving Permit is also required.  Younger drivers between the ages of 21 and 25 may pay a higher rental rate than usual, and may also not be permitted to hire certain specialty or larger sized vehicles.  The ‘young drivers fee’ is an extra rate applicable per day of rental, and per underage driver registered on the rental agreement, up until a maximum of ten rental days.  A major credit card such as American Express, Visa, Diners Club or Eurocard / Mastercard must be held by the primary renter in order to pay for the rental.
