Buses to and from Olbia Airport (OLB)
Olbia Airport is located approximately 4 km from the town of Olbia, in northeast Sardinia. The airport is also commonly referred to as Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport, as it is situated on the Costa Smeralda. Approximately one and a half million passengers make use of the airport every year, and it is one of three main airports on Italy’s island of Sardinia. The other two airports of importance are Cagliari Airport and Alghero Airport, of which Cagliari is the largest. Alghero and Olbia are of a similar size, and are both international establishments. The airport is well connected to Olbia and many other surrounding areas by various bus companies, and travelling by bus in Sardinia is a very popular means of transport.
The airport consists of a single terminal building, which was recently completely renovated. It is a very modern and comfortable, yet functional building, with many useful facilities for arriving and departing passengers. Since the airport is relatively small when compared to airports in Italy’s main cities, the terminal is easy for passenger to find their way around. Passengers travelling by bus will find the bus stops just outside the arrivals area. There are quite a variety of bus routes available at the airport, and the companies, which provide these services, include ASPO, Turmo Travel, A.R.S.T and F.LLI Deplano.
