Pisa Airport Parking
Pisa Airport is situated only 2 km from the city center of Pisa, in Italy’s Tuscany region. Together with Florence Airport, it serves as a major gateway to this area. It is also known as Galileo Galilei Airport, after a famous Italian philosopher and physicist, or Pisa-San Giusto Airport, due to is location in the district of San Giusto. Pisa is an international destination, and has all the facilities required by an airport of this size, including adequate and convenient parking facilities. There are over 2,500 parking places available, therefore motorists will be sure to find an ideal place to leave their car while they are away.
There are five parking areas at the airport. They are open 24 hours a day, every day of the week, and are within easy reach of the single terminal building. The short-stay car park is labeled as P3, the multi-story car parking area as P2, the two open long-term car parks are P1 and P4, while P6 is dedicated to the parking of tourist coaches.
The Short-Term Parking Area
This is the ideal area to use if you will only be visiting the airport for a few hours. It is located just outside the departures hall, and provides easy access to the check-in counters, airline ticket offices and shopping area. The first 15 minutes of parking in this area is for free, while the first hour of parking is charged at Euro 2.00. Up to two hours of parking will cost motorists Euro 4.00 and over two hours (each additional hour or part thereof) will cost Euro 3.00. From twelve to twenty-four hours parking will cost Euro 30.00.
The Multi Level Car Park
This area is known as P2, and is ideal for those passengers who need to leave their vehicle at the airport for a few days. It is a long-term parking lot, and is open 24 hours a day. The Multi Level car park is also only a few steps from the departures hall, located right next to the railway terminal. It is found on the departures side of the air terminal.
Up to one hour of parking costs Euro 2.00, up to two hours of parking costs Euro 5.00, up to three hours costs Euro 6.00, and up to four hours costs Euro 7.00. Parking of up to five hours has a charge of Euro 8.00, up to six hours Euro 9.00, up to seven hours Euro 10.00, up to ten hours Euro 15.00, up to twelve hours of parking will cost Euro 18.00, and a day’s parking will be charged at Euro 22.00. From the 2nd to the 3rd day parking fares will be charged daily at Euro 18.00, the 4th to the 5th day has a cost of Euro 16.00 per day, from the 6th to the 7th day will cost Euro 12.00 per day, and from the 8th to the 9th day will cost Euro 10.00 per day. Euro 7.00 is charged per day from the 10th to the 21st day, and after the 21st day there is a daily charge of Euro 5.00.
The West Car Park
This is the P1 parking area at Pisa Airport, and it is located approximately 200 meters from the passenger terminal. This is also a good area for long-term parking. Up to an hour of parking is charged at Euro 2.00, up to two hours at Euro 5.00, up to three hours at Euro 6.00, up to four hours at Euro 7.00, up to five hours at Euro 8.00, up to six hours is charged at Euro 9.00, and up to seven hours has a fee of Euro 10.00. It will cost Euro 15.00 to park in this area for 10 hours, Euro 18.00 for parking up to 12 hours, and Euro 22.00 for parking up to 24 hours. From the 2nd to 3rd day of parking the fees amount to Euro 15.00 per day, and from the 3rd day onwards parking is charged at Euro 10.00 per day.
The East Long-Stay Car Park
This is the ideal parking area to use if you need to leave your car at Pisa Airport for longer than a week. It is only 900 meters away from the terminal building, and there is a shuttle bus available to help you travel from the parking area to the terminal with your luggage. The East Long-Stay car park offers the cheapest parking at the airport. If you park for seven days or longer you will only be charged Euro 8.00 per day, including the first days of parking. Parking for sixteen days or longer will cost Euro 7.00 per day, counting from the first day of parking.
The Bus Parking Area
This area is known as P6, and is especially for tourist coaches. It can be found at the large square outside the terminal building. It has sixteen parking spaces, and is used free of charge.
There are disable parking facilities at the airport. These can be found in the P1, P2, P3 and P4 parking areas, and are free of charge. Passengers must just show their disabled person’s badge at the parking cashier in order to get a free exit ticket. Dedicated parking spaces are available in the Multi Level car park and the Short-Stay car park. These spaces are also nearby ‘Call Points’, from where reduced mobility passengers can call for assistance from trained airport personnel.
Motorists will receive a ticket when entering the car parking areas, and this ticket must be kept to pay for your parking and to exit the car park. Before leaving with your vehicle, your parking fares must be paid. There is a car park cash desk outside the air terminal on the departures side, which is open from 07:30 to midnight. Their telephone number is 050 849512. There are also automatic ticket machines which can provide you with change, available 24 hours a day.
