Lamezia Terme Airport Departures (SUF)
Lamezia-Terme is an international airport which serves a total of twelve countries with various destinations. Almost half of all the flights departing from the airport, fly to Germany.

On the 6th of July 2009, Ryanair will begin a new international route from Lamezia-Terme Airport to Dusseldorf. These flights will be operated every week, one on Mondays and the other on Fridays. Passengers may also fly from Dusseldorf to Lamezia Terme.
EasyJet will double it’s flights from Lamezia-Terme Airport to Milan Malpensa Airport, in October 2009. Passengers will then be able to depart and return on the same day, which could be useful to business travellers.

Lamezia-Terme Airport provides a complete service for disabled or reduced mobility passengers. Departing passengers, who will be needing assistance, should contact their airline prior to their flight or inform the airline of their needs when making the reservation. The airport, Sala Amica staff, will then provide assistance through the check-in and security procedures. Boarding the airplane can be assisted with the special elevator, ambulift.
The airport terminal has access ramps and elevators. Visually impaired individuals are assisted with tactile maps, and internal and external elevator buttons in Braille. There are disabled parking spaces and disabled toilet facilities in all areas of the airport.
Liquid Carry-on Rules at European Airports
Departing passengers should try to pack as many of their liquid substances as possible in their checked baggage, as carry-on liquids must conform to certain regulations. Any liquids carried onboard must be separately placed in containers, each with no more than 100ml. The 100ml containers should then be placed in a clear, re-sealable plastic bag. This bag must be presented separately for security inspection. The total contents of the bag should be no more than 1 litre. To facilitate the security check, bring with you the prescription for any medicines that show that it will be needed during the flight. As much liquids, medicines and food for babies may be carried onboard. Security may ask you to taste any item to ensure it’s authenticity.
